You have a young man who could come back next year fully restored to health with all of the physical gifts with which he entered the NFL. Reluctantly, I have to admit that for RGIII to have a chance to become a very good QB for the Skins in the near future, the Skins need to retain Jay Gruden and let Robert develop in the same offense for the next few years.

I think Bruce Allen should make it crystal clear to both Jay and Robert that, like it or not, they will both be here next season, that it is still Jay's job to develop Robert, and it is still Robert's job to learn everything he possibly can about this offense and how to be a pocket passer. Robert should also be told that it is his responsibility to earn his way back on the field and that he is expected to do whatever it takes to make that happen by the opening game of 2015.

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail during the offseason. I do agree it's too early to give up on him, he's still under contract, so continue to develop him.
