I like the Wade hiring. But the process smacks of the same that lands us in last place every year.

Given the way that this team has been run lately, I think everyone should be a little suspicious, bothered, or concerned when jobs (like DC) are handed to someone through networks rather than an expansive competitive search. At any rate, I personally cannot blame anyone who calls for business to be done a different way.

Most teams work that way. Dallas hired Monte Muffin because of his connections with Jerruh. He then brought in Marinelli, who in turn replaced Kiffin and led a turnaround on dallas' D. Not that Dallas is the ideal comparison, but it really does go on in most if not all hiring situations. The problem in the past is not the homie factor, but just bad decision factor. WP if hired would be a good decision factor.
