Redskins head coach Jay Gruden announced Friday that Riley will have surgery on his foot that will sideline him for three to six weeks. Per the Washington Post's Mike Jones, the injury is to the fifth metatarsal in his right foot.

According to Jones, the Redskins are preparing as if Mason Foster will start at inside linebacker, because Keenan Robinson, who ranks second among linebackers in tackles, is dealing with a shoulder issue. Foster has appeared in eight games this season, not starting any while recording just two assisted tackles.

In four seasons in Tampa Bay, Foster would amass 343 tackles with 12 passes defensed, six sacks, five interceptions, two touchdowns and two fumbles forced.
