PS2 Madden On-line Problems

Hey guys, I have PS2 and XBOX, and I haven't tried online play yet for either of them. I have Cox High speed internet connection. Hopefully that's enough to run it. When I bought the XBOX, it came with a free, three-month trial that has already expired. It says there's a $49.95 fee after the 3 months.

But nowhere does it say whether that's $49.95 per month or for a year.

What's the fee, and is PS2 about the same?
