Giants' MLB Pierce May Sit Out Rest of Season
I read this on ESPN.com:
Giants middle linebacker Antonio Pierce, who suffered a high ankle sprain in last week's victory over the Philadelphia Eagles and who did not practice all week, will not play in the Saturday matchup against the Chiefs. And there are concerns, as Pierce continues to wear a walking boot on his right foot, that the Giants' leading tackler could be sidelined for the rest of the regular season. Pierce is the linchpin of the Giants' defense. Without Pierce, I fully expect the Giants to get run over this Saturday by Larry Johnson and the Chiefs. I also expect next week's Redskins-Giants matchup in D.C. to be a close one. In my opinion, if we win this Sunday, we have a damn good chance to go 3-0 the rest of the way and squeak into the playoffs. |
