2 lb pinto beans 2 small green peppers, chopped 2 medium onions, chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/4 cup cooking oil 3 lbs lean ground beef 3 (1 lb) cans tomatoes 3 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce 3-4 Tbs chili powder 1/4 tsp tabasco sauce 1 cup water Cook beans for 1 1/2 - 2 hours or until beans are tender. Cook beef, green peppers, onions, and garlic in oil until beef is lightly browned. Add all remaining ingredients EXCEPT BEANS. Cover and simmer 45 minutes. Drain beans and stir into beef mixture; cover and simmer 25 min. Yields; 4 quarts Anyone need a recipe from Joe and Pat gibbs? This book has over 250 pages of recipes! Go Skins! Quote from cover: "The whole Redskins family has flung its kitchen gates open. I reckon we have as many Superstars in the kitchen as we do on the playing field." Jack Kent Cooke |
