Re: FA QB mama-drama (3/14)
Vikings | Rookie quarterback not likely to play in 2006 season
Wed, 29 Mar 2006 21:39:36 -0800 Kevin Seifert, of the Star-Tribune, reports whichever rookie quarterback Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress picks in the 2006 NFL Draft, he will not likely play before the 2007 season. Childress said, "I would say you wouldn't want that [newcomer] on the field the first year. Maybe he would play in the preseason. You would have to say this: If we got that guy and he has to play in the first year, then things [have gone wrong]. That means some guys have gone down in a hurry." Vikings | Childress wished Culpepper would have worked out in Minnesota Wed, 29 Mar 2006 21:39:12 -0800 Kevin Seifert, of the Star-Tribune, reports Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress wishes Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper (knee) would have rehabilitated his knee in Minnesota instead of a Florida health clinic. Childress said he Culpepper did himself a disservice by rehabilitating at a subpar facility. Childress said atletic trainer Eric Sugarman met with Culpepper at a HealthSouth clinic near Orlando. When Sugarman asked for some basic movement drills, Culpepper led Sugarman out of a back door and into a Wal-Mart parking lot. |
