Sounds like both sides are eager to work something out quickly per today's WT article:

"However, I believe only two first-round picks have signed to this point [Houston's Jason Babin and New England's Vince Wilfork], and the Redskins seem very eager to get the ball rolling and get something done. We're going to do what we can to get something done in the next few days."

Top draft picks often wait to see what kind of contracts fellow first-rounders get before signing themselves, but Mato said there's nothing stopping him from completing a deal with the Redskins right now.
