While Ryp and Doug will have their names in the history books as Super Bowl MVPs, they are not generally regarded as "GREAT" or "LEGENDS" of the game. Again, unlike Tom Brady is likely to be perceived. Gibbs also did it during strike years -- and in '87, one of his replacement teams went against a veteran, NFL pro team that had already returned and still beat them.

Just think, if only they had been up to the task against the Raiders in '83. It's the only real blemish in Gibbs' armor. Had it not been for that game, it would have been Gibbs, not Bill Walsh and the Niners, who most would think of first as the coach and the team of the 80's.
Not just three different QBs but three different RBs as well and only Riggo is a Hall of Famer.
