I mean it is a sweet way of staying in touch with high school buddies that go to different colleges, basically. 99% of people do not use Facebook to meet people, but they will "friend" someone after they have met them in bioclass or oreintation. Usually people will not friend someone until, they have actually talked to them and had a conversation, and have hung out several times. It is not as lame as people make it out to be.

Ahh, just wondering. I'm from the old-school class right before Facebook and MySpace came out where we'd just look in our buddies away messages and infos on AIM to find out other people to stalk!

We just kept in contact using AIM, even though people were just as obsessed there too.
