Again, in the scenario you wrote, that's called a coverage sack. And here's the thing, no team's pass rush should have to rely so much on a corner. That proves there's a problem with the front four getting to the quarterback.

Because Springs is out makes it more important to get to the quarterback quickly. Up until this game, Carter hasn't been able to consistently provide that.
