BREAKING NEWS: Bill Parcells Retires

I hear there was a lot of talk of making him the offensive coordinator. But another, more recent, possibility is make him the coach for 2007. Then in 2008 go after Cowher and move Garrett down to OC so he can learn under him. Unless Garrett just does really great in 2007.

If it were me, regardless of how he does I say if you choose Garrett to be the coach then you stick with him. With that in mind though, I wouldn't choose him to be the head coach quite yet. He's never been more than a QB coach. Make him the offensive cooredinator.

Most significantly though I think this is about Jerry Jones picking a coach he can control. He couldn't control Parcells and I think he really hated that.
