If it were me, regardless of how he does I say if you choose Garrett to be the coach then you stick with him. With that in mind though, I wouldn't choose him to be the head coach quite yet. He's never been more than a QB coach. Make him the offensive cooredinator.
Most significantly though I think this is about Jerry Jones picking a coach he can control. He couldn't control Parcells and I think he really hated that.

That sounds like crazy genius thinking. Let's bring in a HC and only give him one year and then totally change directions. AND LETS PLAN ON THIS! Jones is a moron if he does that.
