Actually that's the best thing about him. It gets the people who hate him and actualy spend their lives looking for something to use against him all riled up and looking like idiots all of the time because they're the butt of the joke.

Sometimes he'll say something outrageous just because he knows they'll hear a few words and start having seizures over it. He'll say something like "bunnies should die" on purpose and when you tune into NPR or CNN, you'll hear an exasperated reporter saying "GASP! RUSH LIMBAUGH HATES RABBITS AND WANTS THEM ALL DEAD AS HEARD HERE <clip of Rush saying only "Bunnies should die" and cutting out the part where he's saying that he just wants to hear them take him seriously>.

Even when he SAYS he's joking, they splice up the audio and try to use it against him and it's really pathetic....and funny.

Sometimes, I think the writers and reporters who quote him don't even listen to him...they'll just get a frantic call from someone who heard half a sentence and they'll write an article or do a TV report based on what their friend or co-worker "heard" him say. :cheeky-sm
