Options 2 & 3 for me and also, what's the rush to do this now? It's obvious that Briggs isn't close to an extension with the Bears.. We don't seem to be competing with anyone else for his services in a trade so why make this move so urgently.
If the Raiders interest in Johnson is true then that throws the entire top 10 into flux. Quinn, Russell or Peterson will likely be there at 6 so we're in perfect position for a trade down. If they are all gone and we don't like who is left, then pull the trigger on the deal but doing something like this so far in advance of the draft is stupid. I like Campbell, but I can't help but think we got bent over with what we had to give up for him 2 years ago when there may have been a possibility to get him lower for less rather than do something a week before the draft.
