PC troubleshooting help needed
Hey guys, just decided to upgrade my pc. I bought a new processor (Athlon X2 2.3 GHz), CoolMax 550 Watt power supply, eVGA 7600GT 256 MB video card, 2GB G.Skill RAM and a Western Digital 160GB SATA HD.
I hooked everything up trying to pay strict attention to compatibility issues (none found) and rechecking all of my cables. Here's the problem: On power up, the power supply fan and the cpu fan start but then immediately die after maybe 3-5 seconds. No power indications after that except for the motherboard LED. The power supply is set to 115VAC, by the way. Any thoughts or suggestions before I swap parts, probably power supply first?
