Our country hasn't given anyone the freedom to do anything. The Constitution is a recognition that all men have natural rights that can not be denied by a government (remember life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness). Our forefathers have fought and died for this principle. Why mess it up now. There's no gift involved. When our government begins to think that it is the grantor or denier of freedom, there's a remedy-- impeachment.
