I don't think there really is an "american" car anymore. All toyota's in america are built here. So it's still supporting american workers.
I just say that cause Toyota has not shown to have a good car in NASCAR, just like Dodge has fallen from having great cars to having crap cars now. (comparitively speaking to Chevy and Ford)

Toyota's are not
made here, they are
"Assembled" here. The parts are shipped in boxes and American workers assemble the cars. By doing this Toyota pays lower tariffs compared to shipping a whole car already put together.
