Kerry for President

As a skins fan who'd thrown in the towel a long time ago (as far as the playoffs are concerned), I hope the skins and the presidential election streak is kept alive.

Observations:

1. Refs should never be blamed for the result of a game, but how many times do I have to single out Tom White and his crew for doing a piss poor job of officiating?
These guys almost cost us the game that we won against the Pats last year by ruling Coles' 3rd down and 32 yd catch an incompletion.
They botched the clock management in a controversial Baltimore-Seattle game last year as a result of which they were fined a game's pay.
They made two horrible pass intereference calls/non-call in our MNF game against Dallas which could've resulted in a 14 point swing.
Today - their officiating was inexcusable. The amount of DB-receiver contact that went uncalled was staggering. Ball spotting is always questionable, but the Packers were certainly the beneficiaries of some crucial spots on 3rd down conversions. And of course, the late illegal motion penalty against us when we scored, which was totally bogus.

2. Gibbs' main argument for defending Brunell has been that he doesn't turn the ball over. Well that argument has proved to be false, and Gibbs should humbly abandon his stubbornness, and realize that he was wrong about Brunell's ability to carry this team. No matter how the rest of the season turns out, he should focus on getting Ramsey acquainted with the offense. Brunell was simply inaccurate and inconsistent today.

3. Defense played fine considering the number of starters that were out, and caused TOs. I expected atleast 2INTs from Favre, but the D caused even more. My only knock on the D was that they didn't score. I started this thread last week about blocking after a TO, and it is relevant to today's game.
On Springs' first INT, he had to wait around for almost 3-4 seconds in the backfield for a block, after he'd made a fantastic play for the INT.

I'll take the loss, if this means Kerry will win on tuesday. Otherwise, the skins-election streak will have been a cruel joke.
