I certainly don't think the trade is ass-awful, but I'm not doing fist pumps either. In the short-term, the trade is going to pay huge dividends for our team. Having Carter and Taylor line up is going to make our secondary look even better. Additionally, Manning and Romo seems to struggle whenever we manage to bring a nice pass-rush. While Taylor is on the downside of his career, he's still playing at a high level and should bring us an extra win or so.
BUT, I'm not terribly enthusiastic about trading a 2nd round pick for a guy that probably will play 2 seasons in DC. I don't think we got screwed, but I'm a little nervous about giving up a high pick to add another older vet to a defense that already features Shawn Springs, London Fletcher, Marcus Washington, and Cornelius Griffin.
