Colleague Jason La Canfora noted yesterday that Vegas has turned rather quickly on the Skins, dropping them to about 100-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, which would place them in the bottom third of the league.

In truth, it's not really as dire as all that. The weekly Las Vegas Sports Consultants rankings--with LVSC advising the majority of Nevada casinos on initial lines--dropped the Skins from 12th in the league to 19th in the league after their opening-week loss, which came by about five points more than Vegas would have predicted....
