McShay speculates that if Stafford doesn't get taken with the first pick, Andre Smith will go in the top ten, and then we'll end up with Robert Ayers at 13.

Outside of the fact that I'm not sure we'd even look for Ayers if we traded down in the first round, and aren't looking for a DE with questionable production who can't be an OLB in our scheme, I'm just not seeing the giant ripple effect this would cause, especially considering that he STILL has two QBs going inside the top ten.

We'd still have to pass on Oher and, like, Tyson Jackson and Everette Brown and Alex Mack and all three USC LBs here to reach for Ayers, but in a world where NO QUARTERBACK GOES IN THE TOP THREE PICKS, absolute insanity ensues apparently.
