JC is a better athlete than Gus, but I think he has had some time to work out his mechanics and the consistency needed to be a real franchise guy. The sad condition of the line does play a part in this, but our line wasn't all that bad last year or the year before.

Our line was bad during the second half of last year....and we've always had an old line. Given that we are a "running" team, I think it's been a huge mismanagement of the FO to let our line get old and have such inexperience/mediocre back ups. Historically, our strengths have been running the ball and the defense. If that was our philosophy, then the team should've spent resources on the o-line, just as resources were spent on the d-line.
