Like it or not, throwing the rock wins games. 11/12 of the playoff teams have a top 16 team in passer rating.

I think both are fine coaches in their own right but yeah, given the choice I would take Shanahan because of his offenses.

But if you compare them, Cowher actually comes out ahead in winning percentage .623 to .598 so I think he did a little more than just get lucky here and there.
