What is amazing is that so many guys who get the big bucks play with passion. Really, with the amounts being handed out to some of these guys (rookies and UFA's), skill level is almost irrelevant to future production. If you're set for life, do you have the desire to go through grueling practices and risk potential injury and still play to the best of your abilities?

This is precisely the problem with most of his generation. How about playing because you love the game and it's your passion and you want to contribute something positive with what you were blessed to posess? Your compensation in dollars should simply be a byproduct of doing something for the love of doing it, not the REASON why you do it. Nothing like doing something with your eye on the RESULT.
