If they were okay with going into next year with him wouldn't they tender him for a 1st and a 3rd and take a shot at getting 2 picks? Welcome aboard. I don't know how much we can assume about Shanny. Bradford is getting tons of hype but I doubt that means much to our FO. Shanny knows the needs of his system best and what he want from a QB. Certainly possible Bradford is a good fit, but I haven't heard anyone say as much (and I don't have enough knowledge to make an evaluation).

...historically all I can say is Shanny has only seemed to get solid offensive production out of QBs who have a relatively quick release and enough arm to tattoo the WR. Evidently Bradford has a quick release, but I haven't seen any video of him firing a bullet.

So it's conceivable Shanny and the FO simply don't want JC but don't have Bradford strictly targeted. There are a handful of vets out there who IMO would be better mentors for a rookie QB (Pennington and Garcia namely).
