The rationale from that would be similar to why we drafted Frerotte after we got Shuler, that being a young backup, and a possible replacement if the experiment goes awry. IF I was the GM the first two picks are O linemen no matter what. Just saying the choice of a second drafted QB is preferable to Anderson or Quinn in my opinion. Think about it now. Yeah I want Okung and Bruce Campbell if I was the GM, but say Shanny has his eye on Bradford and gets a additional second round pick. He could get a top LT and possibly get Lefevour or Max Hall, etc in the second round. If your stud falters you have another stud that might take over. Not that crazy of a scenario. Not likely to happen, but who knows.

Gotcha. I think the whole trade scenario is unrealistic. But I would not pass on a tackle in the first if we were going to take a QB (or two) in the second. I also don't think Bradford is making it to us.
