Re: 2010 Free Agency and CBA Information

The NFLPA didn't let the American Needle case get past its eyes:

We recently went over the Supreme Court's interpretation of the American Needle case, which walled the owners off from permanent antitrust immunity. Now that they, unlike the lords of baseball, are required to act in good faith, NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith has fired the next shot in what looks to be a protracted border war.
NFLPA goes on the offensive about reported TV deals - Shutdown Corner - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

NFLPA challenges structure of NFL's TV deals - ESPN
While this is probably a good legal move, I just can't help but feel that the NFLPA, and DeMaurice Smith specifically, just are not going to win with their current strategy. I think even if the owners lose this argument, they will dig in even deeper against the NFLPA.

Also the last line of the Yahoo Sports article is crazy dumb:

The short version: There's always right and wrong on both sides, but if you want football in 2011 and beyond, it's probably time to start rooting for DeMaurice Smith to get what he wants.
huh???
