All those tools you named are great but while your splitting wood by hand I have my chain saw running through the stuff like butter. Then if I'm real lucky I know some with a log splitter and we can have enough wood for the winter in a days work. You would still be on you second log with an axe. I would use my small john boat (does not burn much gas) to get around the river to fish, hunt and crab.
