I'm surprised people think this article is "scathing" and pessimistic. I think it's a pretty fair assessment. Every year I also dream of the Super Bowl, but for the past 2 decades I've also realized we've been climbing uphill every year.
Realistically, we won 4 games last year and lost to some of the worst teams in the league (if not in the history of football). Going from 4-12 to 12-4 is *possible* -- but not probable. The new QB, the revamped O-line, and new coach gives us confidence as fans... But the rest of the league sees us with less rosy-colored glasses. I say it is a fair article - but that just leaves our team to prove them wrong. Bring on the season. |
