I wouldn't call Dwight Howard one of the most talented athletes. Most physically-gifted for sure, but his game has a lot of inconsistency and weaknesses at times. He can't carry the team.

My #1 of all time would probably be Jim Thorpe.

Lot of people forget about old Jim. I think of lot of old athletes are overrated especially when compared to todays athletes. However Jim Thorpe is another matter entirely. Thorpe is defeinetely worthy of the title greatest athlete of all time. Might not win it, but he definitely deserves consideration fro this most arbitrariy title.
