Home Field Advantage At Fedex?
Like most of you I have been to a couple of games at FEDEX field. The stadium is state of the art etc but there is no Home field advantage there. The crowd was kinda loud but the sound didnt resonate at all. Not at all like RFK (the dump that it is/was). FEDEX has NO character at all! Bland. Okay great you can fit nearly 90K fans but that place doesnt scare anybody (alright maybe the team had a lot to do with that). Here's my solution, as unsound as it may be...
1) Construct a partial roof structure (similar to RFK but not as large as Texas Stadium). This would help keep the sound in the staduim. 2) If I remember correctly, the field at RFK had better paint scheme -- especially at the 50 yard line and the 20's too. 3) Scrap the gold colored seats in the Joe Gibbs section of seats. Makes the stadium look empty. 4) Beyond no 3 above, EVERYTHING in the stadium should be painted burgandy and gold. Well, that is my 2 cents on that. Pls let me know what you folks think...
