that 3rd ranked defense sure made his job easier and helped him succeed this past year didn't it? The defense would have been just fine with the guys we had and the defensive gameplans of Williams and company, whereas we had a chance to get a guy in Mike Williams who could have played a pivotal role in our lackluster to say the least offense. And while I think I'll like the Cambell selection in a couple years, right now we had other positions we could have strengthened, but I'm not pissed about that as much as I am the snafu at the #9 spot. I like Rodgers and think he'll easily fill and excede the shoes of Smoot, but between the 2 sides of the ball, our offense had a much bigger problem that needed fixing.
