He might make it somewhere as a backup i'm sure, and probably get signed to a 1 year deal at vet minimum. But i dont see it happening due to the fact it is unlikely he would bust his butt in practice just to make the squad, when he at best would be 3rd RB, or practice squad. Portis wont work hard when he is told he is not going to be the starter.

only way he gets 800+ yards this season is if his team (assuming he gets signed), loses 2 runningbacks and he goes up against other teams that has no run defense. Portis' body has betrayed him, he doesnt have that breakaway speed anymore, and he cant break tackles or shake off hits.. I say he's done.
I think he's more than camp fodder, he'll find a backup role somewhere as long as he's healthy. And he's definitely way past being practice squad eligible at this point.
