Has the team mailed it in? (If so, why?)

I'm looking back over the last two weeks. Both against Pittsburgh and Carolina it looked like most of the roster mailed it in. Obviously, it's not true of everyone. RG3 and Morris always give it everything they have, and guys like Morgan, T Williams and Lunch Pail Logan also work hard every game. Tana worked hard to prove he's still the best WR on the roster, but now that we're in the toilet I don't expect peak performance from him. Defensively, I think London, Bowen, and Doughty all work hard every game.

So yeah, I think the rest of the starters and regular rotation guys have mailed it in for the season, at least to the extent it matters i.e. there's a guy or two who doesn't matter, like Niles Paul. Two very different games in a row we saw it, and today was at home in a true must win situation.

And then Mike says the rest of the season is really about evaluating talent, which isn't going to rally the troops IMHO

So why have the 2012 Redskins basically mailed it in as of week 9? Can't say I believe I know, want to hear from everybody...

And one more thing, this isn't meant to be a discussion about talent, though I realize if this thread goes on more than a couple pages talent will be discussed. Just that I'm asking a different question first: where's the effort, discipline, focus etc etc?
