Our guest bedrooms don't even have phone jacks and only one of them has a cable jack. When DirecTV came to install my system the tech was here for almost 12 hours, it was ridiculous.

My new house is brand new and if i didn't add cable jacks i would have only gotten 3. I still only have 2 phone jacks; soon those will be obsolete. Actually i won't even use them because i have vonage and phones that work off a base.

My dad's house he had them put in Ethernet cable jacks through out the house; totally waste now a days with WiFI.

Juts a matter of time when cable jacks will be a waste too.
