Garcon says he’ll be ‘healthy enough to play’

Wide receiver Pierre Garcon said in a televised interview Thursday that he’ll be sufficiently healthy to play for the Redskins in the 2013 season but he still might not be at full capacity.

“I’ll be healthy enough to play,” Garcon said during an appearance on the NFL Network, according to a transcript provided by the league-owned TV channel. “I can’t say I’ll be 100 percent, but I’ll be back out there helping the team in any way possible.”

Garcon said previously he would not undergo surgery for the torn ligament near the second toe in his right foot that plagued him last season. He said during Thursday’s TV appearance that it’s unclear how fully he will participate in offseason practices with the Redskins.

I fear that Garcon will again miss games due to his foot problems.

We have plenty of unresolved injury issues:

Adam Carriker is still limping following a setback.
It is unknown when or if Fred Davis can come back.
Roy Helu is still battling his injury.
Joshua Morgan is coming off of several surgeries.

Others trying to return from injuries: Brian Orakpo, Brandon Meriweather, Keenan Robinson, Chris Neild, Chase Minnifield, and Jordan Bernstein.

Then there is the Big One - RGIII.

All of these injured players makes me n-n-n-nervous.

Indeed you are right, but I feel as if you are making it bigger deal than it is. Thanks to science and technology, lot of players (or people in any case) are healing faster and better. And not to mention, those players have unlimited resources and access to top line of medicine and medical products/therapy than any of us. I probably would not be surprise if one of those players get injured again, but the list is long and the chances are most of them will play lot.
