The thought behind WR or offensive player with our 2nd rounder is to build our offense into a Juggernaut. RG3 and Williams have a rapore, we have to have viable passing option if Garcon is hurt. We need playmakers period.

But we didn't do well on defense last year. And defense wins championships bro.

The 2010 saints beg to differ. You just need an opportunistic defense that can get turnovers. You don't necessarily (or realistically) need to hold teams to 9 points anymore to win.

Our defense last year was nowhere as good as the 2010 Saints defense. The Saint's defense didnt hold teams to 9 points either. They held them in the teens and 20s while the offense was averaging high 20's to low 30's. I don't see how your example even comes close as a comparable to last year's Redskins Defense.

This. Our defense under Shanny has basically sucked donkey balls until the 2nd half of last season, which reportedly had everything to do with Fletcher taking on a bigger role with scheming and in-game adjustments.
