This means that one or two of our three picks will develop, over time, into starters. Following this premise, at least one of our three picks will be a dud.

I think that maybe one of those secondary guys will start right away. And, following Greg Blache, that rookie will sometimes thrill and sometimes break our hearts.

I'm still happy that we drafted who we did.

I agree. It's unlikely all 3 DBs hit their potential, but that's why I am glad we didn't take one and call the problem solved. We definitely had roster room to. bring these guys in, so now its up to them to earn their spots. I do think the young competition will only make the older vets better. Regardless of who starts, our defensive backfield will be a lot better this year and going forward.
