Like mbedner said, its the notion of having to pay taxes period. I dont know of one single person that likes the IRS.

I'm sure at his pay he is paying around 33% tax on his income.

That would ONLY be his Federal Income Tax rate. After state, local, and all other federal taxes on investments, gifts, sales tax, real estate taxes, etc. a pro athlete will be around 60-65% of his income gone in taxes...and he hasn't paid his agent yet.
