Re: Around the NFL Offseason 2013

If they have to Franchise Tag Nicks, he'll cost them $11 million.

If they want to keep him, he's going to have to get Cruz money or he'll walk. He IS a diva WR from what we've seen.

Says the guy whose team has their top 2 WRs holding out and skipping OTAs. Nicks still has a year left on his contract. He's pulling a DeSean at the moment.

According to the article, Nicks contract is completed at the end of this upcoming season.

Could the absence be contract-related? Nicks’ rookie deal is set to expire after this season, but the wideout had given no indication of a possible holdout. And, unlike Cruz, he attended Phase I of the Giants’ OTA workouts a few weeks ago.

That's what I said , add in a one year franchise tag .Cruz will get a big chunk of his money in the first 2years so this make a contract in 2years with Nicks most likely, if he can stay healthy.

If they weren't going to offer Nicks a contract, what makes you think they would pay the type of salary for a franchise tag WR?

Also, your team isn't going to have the cap space bro.
