Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
Luck is going to be a good QB. He had a trash offensive line last year and no running game. But he is also mistake prone. Dont forget that even with all of the int's he had, he led the league in int's dropped as well. I believe it was something like 8 would be int's that were dropped by the defenses.
I also expect him to greatly struggle this year. Look at the Saints last year when they lost their HC and the offensive genius of the team. The Colts are losing the offensive guru plus their defacto HC from last year. They are also losing the emotional rallying cry they had last year when they all rallied around their HC in the hospital. |

Agreed durability is an issue. RG3 just isn't a big guy like Luck, Newton, Rothlisberger. |

Separately, why is completion % over-rated? I get that if you are just completing short passes, then the higher number is expected, but certainly, if you take these numbers: Comp% 65.6 Romo Yds 4,903 TD 28 INT 19 Rating 90.5 54.1 Luck 4,374 23 18 76.5 56.7 Sanchez 3,474 26 18 78.2 65.6 Griffen 3,200 20 5 102.4 And pulled the exceptional qb out, it wouldn't be Luck's. The passers names are in white font by the completion % |

Minus the 1st td (which was like 6 yds behind his receiver) his stat line tonight was 8 of 13, 80 yds 1td 1 int(if the defender made that easy pick) that's about what I expect from him, and that's not "ridiculously good"

I guess I think he will be better than middle of the pack, but I agree he is not "ridiculously good" and I don't think he ever will be.

Just wait until this season man. Him and Griffin won't lose a step, both are great players

For anyone who didn't see Luck/RWayne's first TD last night:
![]() Amazing ball-eye-hand coordination by RWayne. CB must have been in disbelief when he heard them say TD. |

Great play by Wayne. He looked like he knew exactly what he was doing when he tipped that ball. Excellent!

Wayne has always been great, imo he's better than Harrison was

Re: Around the NFL 2013 Offseason (Episode 99)
I personally believe the only valid reason some one would be willing to Luck over RG3 is durability. That knee is a concern and will be until he plays a couple of full seasons in a row. Other than that, there was nothing in college or in the pros that tells me Luck does something or anything better than RG3. That is just my opinion though.

They're both stars in the making. If someone wants to knock RG3 for the knee issue, ok. Other than that they're both top notch talents. |
