Rex is more valuable then Pat White think of him as a Asst. QB coach. If he ever sees the field due to injuries to KC and RG then well our season is shot.

Pat White won't beat out Rex for that reason above.

If we wont win a game with Rex, there really is no reason to keep him. If he is the acting Asst. QB coach, then just make him an Asst. QB coach and save the roster spot for someone who can contribute.

Agree, if White has to start...we're done.

However, I'd keep him as the 3rd QB for the value he brings in practice preparing for Vick twice a year and other mobile QBs. Romo (to an extent), Rodgers (of course won't come close to AR's arm/accuracy), Kap at SF. If we make the playoffs, we'll likely run into SEA along the way.

If Rex is truly valuable as a Coach, make him one.

I think that would takes some of his power away. he is more a mentor then a boss. I have had mentors at work that are not my boss.

As a player he is one of the guys someone to look up too as a coach he just be another boss someone you had to prove yourself too.

Interesting how I see it completely different.

If they need an Asst coach then make him an assistant coach. Rex can't run, can't throw, and made bad decisions last night against second stringers.

PW showed he understood how the system works, he can roll out and get away from the DE or LB, he can actually throw into traffic and get the WR the ball, and did I mention the biggest issue is he has mobility? Rex has none. Zippie.

Oh and his balls had a nice spiral to them unlike Rex's duck wobble throws. Rex is starting to remind me of McNabb with his duck wobble balls and dirt balls.

White was running pretty basic stuff. Against 4th stringers. And let's not even get started on his delivery, which is one of the slowest I've seen.

Rex was throwing balls away or up for grabs to avoid taking any big shots in the pocket.

Again, it's the preseason.

On a bigger note I think Davis doing anything in the endzone is a joke. He really needs to step up this year and be a leader. Not getting stupid 15 yrd penalties. Man up and do your job.

And hell of a game by Pat White. As a big WVU fan I've always of his and was waiting all night to see if he had anything to prove. Looks like there might be a fight at for 3rd string QB. In rootin for Pat!
I hope so!

Pat White is younger than Rex and is more athletic!

Also, with what I have seen tonight, Pat makes better decisions!

Re: Redskins @ Titans Thread

once again, just cause someone looks good against 4th stringers that won't be in the NFL, it doesn't mean they're good.

and pat white can't be on the practice squad.

Re: Redskins @ Titans Thread

so, our depth corners looked decent, kirk, fred, morgan looked good. helu didn't get hurt, and no one of importance got injured.

overall, it looked like a normal preseason game.

Re: Redskins @ Titans Thread

PW is a much more likely candidate to execute our O in a back up role than Rex. I would get him some work in the pre......and see, if not...oh well
