Rex looked bad last night. bad against second stringers.
I fail to see how he looked "bad". He looked under pressure but he drove us down the field several times only to get short-circuited by penalties. He wasn't great certainly either.

There is a reason Grossman is not the starter. There is a reason the team drafted not one but two QB's last year. Because Grossman was not getting the job done. So why keep him? He's old. He's has no mobility. He and his peak has already been reached.

PW in my opinion was in the wrong system and situation in Miami. He's young. He's mobile. and he has a ton of up side and potential.

If we are going to make "there is a reason..." arguments, I may offer one: there is a reason why Pat White was out of work for a long time and is unwanted by any other team.

Rookie standouts - B Jenkins and Amerson .
Helu is going to be a big part of the offense.
And last but not least ... White will b cut.

So on that Kerrigan sack, Kerrigan had all both hands on the ground on the inside and Jenkins was over the top the D line or on the outside? Was the alignment four across or 3 across down on the D line? I guess on the other side Orakpo was standing next to Bowen.

Just trying to figure that out, because thats kinda a new look

Didn't get a huge look at ST like I wanted since we have a new coach. The little we did see was 'ehhh'. Dawson was bad. Sav was mediocre. I'd have loved to see us give Kai a shot at that 56 yarder in the first half versus punting but he's more proven and seeing the punt coverage teams was probably more important. Punt/kick coverage was not good.

Re: Redskins @ Titans Thread

Was anyone else as irritated as I was over Hankerson not fighting for that first down on the first drive? (I believe the first drive) He was hit about half a yard short and went straight down. Linebackers or not, they didn't drive him backwards, they didn't have that chance, he definitely didn't fight at all. Mike Shanahan didn't look too happy either, it looked like he said something to him when he came off the field. It looked like he was protecting himself from the hit.

Maybe he didn't want to be injured in a preseason game, but if he did that during the season, I would have been irate. As it stood, I was more like wtf was that?

Yeah well his later effort on the TD was good though

That it was, that was a heck of a play. I honestly hated the play call, but he turned it into a great play. Really effort nice going for the end zone; still doesn't mean I'm giving him a pass on not moving the chains.

and I would have taken Colt Brennan over Rex. He was younger, more mobile, and had a better spiral. Not to mention he had more upside, Rex is maxed out.

Yeah I kinda had a problem with it because Cousins put the ball perfect where he shoulda cut and been in stride with momentum to pick up the first down. He caught the ball perfectly but he then looks and kinda slows his feet down. He needs to have better instints by now and needs to make that play. Moss and Garcon get that first down.

Hankerson on the touchdown play is much more aggressive, he catches the ball and quickly accelerated towards the endzone, running people over and inviting the contact. It was a nice rebound from the first down play.

I'll have to see the play again. What I recall is that his momentum at the time of the catch was across the field, not up the field, and that he had a good 5 yards to make after the catch. Given the angles, I just am not sure Garcon or Moss make that either.
