I understand some of your points that Shanny is a Rex homer, but it doesn't make any sense to keep him. He has concrete boots. Pat White obviously isn't a starter in this league but he is mobile and can run the read option much better than Rex. I think he would be a good backup for this system.

The term is not homer.... its called "Loyalty". Why I don't know but its there.

I thought I read somewhere that PW ran the spread in college at WV which is why it makes sense and why he looks good running it. I could be wrong though.
