I'm with you here. I think this is a pretty serious indictment of where Foles is in his development, because there's no upside whatsoever to the Eagles going with Vick at QB.

The speed of Kelly's offense should cover up a lot of Vick's past mistakes, but it would have done the same for any QB, and you'd have to think that if Foles could have gotten the most out of their stars (McCoy, Jackson, Celek), he'd be in there.

Philly's defense is an absolute disaster, and it's struggles are about to be compounded by how quickly their offense gets up and down the field.

I think its less about Foles and his development and more that Kelly's offense is a bad fit for Foles. Kelly wants to do some read option imo, and Foles is not suited for that at all.
