Anyone who wants to cite time of poss. this year -- Chip doesn't care about it. "Time of possession is how much time the other team wastes."

Eagles day off this season under Kelly is Monday. Will practice Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat.

Another quote that I heard, but have no source to verify (maybe SS or others know the specific, and if my context is wrong please correct me), is [paraphrased]"we looked at on field performance in our evaluations, not the mental approach behind it".

A topic that will surely dominate this season will be Chip Kelly's transition to the NFL. Many are focusing on his offensive scheme, but my question is, and will remain, can he change from dealing with dependent young men to highly paid independent athletes. I think the transitions go far deeper than just the on field product. I will be really surprised, just from my personal opinions, if he lasts in the NFL, but will be intriguing to see how it goes.

Yes, this man will fail miserably. He'll find himself in over his head...outmatched by other head coaches and as an added bonus, he'll get the already injury-prone Mike Vick severely injured...and then Nick Foles.

He thinks he can come into the NFL and run his college offense just as successfully as he did in the Pac-12. I applaud the optimism and self-confidence, but he's coming off as arrogant and looking unprepared. Week 1 is going to be a lot different than the preseason.

Steve Spurrier went undefeated and we scored the most points in the preseason. Once the real games started, his career stepped into quicksand.
