Im certainly not trying to endorse Tebow, but he throws a better deep ball than short ball. He just needs 5 seconds to do so since his wind up is long and slow and its rare that he can get enough time to do so. Even if the receiver is open, half the time he misses the read and takes off running. Tebow can complete two passes, the seam route and the deep ball. He is terrible on just about all the other throws.

I agree with your assessment. But it still means that he has trouble completing the deep ball, hence in part his career 6.7 YPA.

Choosing Pat White vs. Tebow is like choosing whether you want Grossman or Beck to start. I'm glad that we never were in that position.
