But yeah, that was epically stupid.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
I've been loving every minute of this Peyton Manning TD fest until I realized the guy I'm playing in Fantasy Football has Manning...

Getting a little annoyed with the 'America's Game of the Week' promo.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Shameless self promotion. It was on NBC and they are obviously going to promote their own programming. Wouldn't matter if it was Jets vs. Raiders, they would have been shoving down our throats every commercial break.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
I guess this was a big FU from Manning to all the people that had Seattle #1 in their power rankings.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
This game has turned into a video game. what seems like every year now, might see a whole bunch of passing records broken again this year.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
agreed. brees, manning brady are amazing qbs but 50 plus tds for brady, 5k for brees? the game is changing. im just glad the skins seem to finally be game planning and playing modern nfl football and not the control the ball with 3 yard runs and a cloud of dust approach.

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Was it?
It amused me that I was out on the ledge with plenty of game left. But with a cooler head after waking up, not watching the 2nd half, and to my delight, the Ravens lost. Odd? IDK, I'm weird as shit. It was just a dialogue between upset self pre-end of game vs day after game over self. I live in Bmore where people are assholes, spout off tribalism to opposing fans who like my family had been season ticket holders from the '50's- Feb '12 (before trading the rights to RG3 for those historians), and their team wins championships. So it may bring out "odd" shit when the ravens lose b/c it means more to me than anyone outside of Bmore can fully understand. And I think after watching that game, I've become more aware that despite an absentee Defense, Manning and the broncos can win a game that I had pegged them to lose. |

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
That was a hell of a statement game last night. I dont know what to think of Baltimore, but their Oline got pushed around pretty bad last night by a bronco defense without their key guys. And their secondary sux

Re: Around the NFL-Week 1
Right when Oher got knocked out that entire OLine pretty much fell apart. Their secondary, much like the Skins secondary needs time to gel. Without a pass rush both secondaries will look awful.

Quote:
The Ravens defense was doing ok until like you said the offense started getting hurt (losing Jacoby Jones didn't help because he was getting open) with Michael Oher hurting his leg and a rookie going out there against a good denver defense. Then they started having too many 3 and outs and all the momentum went to Denvers offense and the Ravens just got gased and tired. I still think Baltimore is a play off team, but last night was a beat down and wake up call to that team. They're a very well run franchise. They will adjust.
