I think we bought into our preseason hype a little too much.

We always do though, coming off a division crown last year. I think more importantly we bought into the RG III super hype from the 2012 draft. The kid got more hype than Luck did, then he acted like a diva. Sad thing is we mortgaged a lot of high draft picks for this guy, draft picks that could have gone to a stud S or CB. Robert was never going to live up to the ungodly hype the media put on him. The guy got endorsements even before playing down one for us. Unless we get the D squared away in a couple of seasons , he might end up with the same record as JC or dare I mention the name of he that should not be spoken of?

This team is just trash right now. Kerrigan and orakpo aren't as good as they were hyped to be. RG3 isn't a franchise QB yet. The DBS still suck.

No, No, No.

This team does not look anything like the team from last year. I'm not talking about timing, or injuries, I'm talking blocking scheme (we are getting blown up off the OL), how they hand the ball to the RB, to WR's not getting open or RG3 just not looking down field for open WR's. The RB doesn't seem to have any lanes to cut back into or any holes to run through. RG3 over throwing WR's, etc. etc.

I won't even discuss the Defense. They are bad across the board and not getting any better.

Dude, too many of us in here almost thought of RG III as our savior. Shoot you had a man crush thread in here about the guy not so long ago. This guy will not pan out because his supporting cast is deficient, but he still was over hyped beyond belief. This guy is going to enter his contract year with probably a .500 record or less. JC was less than .500, while Gus hovered around .500. Are you going to pay the guy up the wazoo to renew? You needed DBs and O linemen, before the stud QB, now the stud QB isn't going to win you games, so what is the point of having a stud QB? Build from the lines outward. Next draft should be nothing more than defensive players and maybe one or two O linemen. It is obvious that one man isn't going to get the Skins back to the glory days. Defense wins titles, and our D sucks, and personally has to be rebuilt. If we go say 0-6 0-7 if we do lose in Oakland I would start Cousins just to see what he can do, and at the very least showcase him for a trade for draft picks if he does well, or maybe keep him. I am foreseeing a total overhaul on both sides of the ball in the offseason, and if that happens RG III might not be the man anymore.
